Herbacin supports Society of Singers

Beverly Hills, CA - 01 June 2010 - On June 1, 2010, the Society Of Singers (SOS) presented Natalie Cole with the 19th ELLA Award at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills, California.

SOS has been vital to the health, wellness and survival of more than 3,000 professional singers since its inception in 1984. Through its programs and services it has rescued numerous singers by providing emergency grants during times of crisis. They have come to the aid of displaced performers during times of critical disaster and devastation such as 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. SOS also offers annual scholarships to Masters students pursuing their graduate degrees and future careers in the Vocal Arts.

Since 2003, Herbacin has supported this organization annually at its ELLA award event. Previous recipients have included artists such as Frank Sinatra (1990), Tony Martin (1992), Peggy Lee (1994), Steve Lawrence & Eydie Gorme (1995), Lena Horne (1997), Rosemary Clooney (1998), Joe Williams (1999), Tony Bennett (2000), Julie Andrews (2001), Plácido Domingo (2002), Barry Manilow (2003), Celine Dion (2004), Elton John (2005), Johnny Mathis (2006), Gladys Knight (2007), Andy Williams (2008), and Herb Alpert and Lani Hall (2009).
