5 Tips for Keeping You on Your Toes!

Our feet do a lot for us on a daily basis. They carry us wherever we walk, stabilize us as we stand over the sink washing dishes, and support us as we bend over to pick up weights in the gym. They press the gas and brake pedals in our cars, climb flights of stairs, and distribute our weight as we try not to fall on narrow or slippery surfaces. Our feet are very hardworking; so why shouldn’t we treat them well?

Foot care should not be restricted to the rare pedicure or professional foot massage. It can, in fact, be practiced every day. Here are 5 easy tips for keeping toes and feet in great condition.

1. Wear flip-flops when using public showers. No one likes warts or fungal infections. Protecting your feet while in public facilities, such as at the gym or pool, can help prevent unwanted problems.

2. Learn the shape of your foot from a professional. Whether this is a podiatrist or an experienced shoe store clerk, getting their opinion can help you choose the right shape and size shoes. Having proper arch support and a suitable toe box will lower the risk of foot pain, blisters, corns, and calluses.

3. Moisturize your feet to promote skin regeneration. Use a product like Herbacin’s Foot Cream to strengthen the skin on your feet.
