Herbacin launches new Foot Care line
The latest addition to Herbacin's body care products comprises five new items designed as an intensive care series for feet and legs, and suitable for diabetic foot care.
Feet have 26 bones, 19 muscles and over 100 ligaments. In combination with a dense nervous system, this makes our feet a highly complex, powerful and yet very sensitive part of our body. Over one lifetime, our feet will carry us approximately 270 million steps, or four times around the globe, or about 99,200 miles. Such high performance requires quality care. The Herbacin Foot Care series is a specially designed product range that addresses certain foot problems as well as offering a suitable alternative to be used within a diabetic foot care program.
People with diabetes have an increased risk for infections, especially in their feet. Decreased circulation and changes in the blood vessels in the extremities can cause healing to be delayed. Complications can be devastating, if cuts and sores become infected. If the body can't fend off the infection, gangrene can develop and serious consequences as a result can develop. Therefore, foot care is especially important for diabetics, which often suffer from diabetic foot syndrome, one of the most common complications of diabetes mellitus. Special care becomes necessary, as feet suffer from dryness and become easily susceptible to inflammations.
The Herbacin Foot care line consists of five main products that contain organic chamomile blossom extract and natural rich oils, such as avocado and almond oils. More specifically, the line includes a leg lotion for intensive moisturizing care for stressed and tired feet, a foot cream with allantoin and panthenol to soothe and rejuvenate, and prevent calluses, corneas, and cracked skin, a foot peeling lotion for gentle deep cleansi! ng and smoothing of rough skin, a refreshing cooling gel for hot feet and tired, heavy legs, and which contains three cooling ingredients: menthol, menthyl lactate, and camphor, ensuring long-lasting and invigorating freshness, and last but not least, a warming balm, with carnosine and Vitamin E to bind free radicals and strengthen cell membranes. Carnosine suppresses the reaction of sugar molecules with collagen and elastin, thus enhancing skin elasticity. The balm provides a long lasting, and pleasant feeling of warmth.
